The Royal College of Art is the world’s top ranking university for art and design, based in three sites, South Kensington, Battersea and White City, the College will have around 2,100 students in 2017/18 registered for MA, MPhil and PHD Degrees. The College has more than 400 permanent academic, technical and administration staff on site. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a busy finance team where you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the finance department (40%) and a range of key financial duties (60%). You will be managing and accounting for the RCA’s credit card system, completing key reconciliations, including bank and control accounts and covering in accounts payable and receivables. You will also be dealing with insurance claims and finance administration, including keeping records up to date and providing support to the senior team in finance and all other members of the team. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of internal stakeholders, the bank, auditors and insurers. The role holder will be dedicated to delivering high quality customer service.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in finance, have excellent attention to detail and be used to working to tight deadlines. Ideally you will be studying towards AAT or another accounting qualification and will be committed to developing your skills. You must have strong IT skills and have good working knowledge of word and excel. Experience of Agresso would be beneficial but not essential. Given the broad nature of the role you should be flexible and have the agility to move between different tasks. You must also be confident dealing with people at all levels and have excellent communication skills.
