As part of a continuing process of restructuring and investment, the University of Aberdeen wishes to appoint a lecturer in Modern Scottish Visual History from 1 January 2018. The successful candidate will have research interests in any aspect of Scottish visual history since 1850, will be able to offer teaching on the online masters programmes in Scottish Heritage, in Art and Business, on sub-honours outline courses in Scottish History and History of Art, and will develop specialist honours and postgraduate courses in accordance with their interests. Applications will be particularly welcome from specialists in the history of Scottish photography. The appointment will be made at Lecturer level depending on qualifications and experience.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 scale (£39,324 - £46,924 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
