Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Security Studies/ Peace & Conflict Studies in the Department of Politics within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The appointee will join a vigorous and lively department in an internationally recognised University with established strengths in the social sciences and humanities.
Applicants will hold a doctoral degree or be close to completion in IR and/or Security Studies and should have an established record of high-quality publications. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of the peace and conflict studies research group. The successful candidate will also play a leading role in consolidating the international position of the Centre for research on International Intervention. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in critical security studies, feminist security studies, peace & conflict studies, humanitarianism and R2P.
The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the teaching portfolio of the department and develop new modules for our Postgraduate Taught programmes.
