Location: Based at Riccarton Campus, near Edinburgh but with operation internationally.
Salary: Associate Professor – Grade 9: £49,149 – £56,950 / Assistant Professor – Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 or 8: £39,991 - £47,722 (salary dependent on experience and qualifications).

As part of its strategic expansion, Heriot-Watt seeks to make further appointments signal and image processing at the Assistant Professor and/or Associate Professor level. Successful candidates will be located in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences. We seek candidates with outstanding academic track record of research, able to contribute positively to our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. You will have knowledge and experience in the wide area of signal and image processing (SIP). Candidates with specific expertise at the intersection between data science, machine learning, and SIP. You will have a successful track record of obtaining external funding, as well as previous teaching and learning experience. A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline is essential, along with evidence of vision, drive, and determination to succeed. A confident and outgoing attitude is necessary, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
