The Faculty of Business are seeking to recruit a specialist in the field of Finance to work as an hourly paid lecturer, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. This role would be based at the University of Greenwich Old Royal Naval College site in London.
We are looking for a finance expert to teach financial planning to non-finance specialists in the Department for Marketing, Events and Tourism. The courses include Financial Planning for undergraduate hospitality management students and Strategic Financial Management for postgraduate events management students. Areas to cover include the fundamentals of financial accounting such as profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow, and taxation, as well as financial analysis, risk management, and strategic approaches to financial planning for businesses in the hospitality and events industries.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate expertise in the fields outlined above, along with lecturing or teaching experience, ideally in higher education. Candidates must be committed to providing a high quality of student experience, and must have good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
The hourly paid lecturer rate of £44.71 includes time for preparation and marking, and staff are only paid per hour of teaching contact time with students. Appropriate induction and resources are also provided.
