Developing the Craft of Writing: Teachers Learning from Professional Writers to impact Student Outcomes

You will join the Developing the Craft of Writing team. This team is a partnership between the Open University, Exeter University and Arvon. This project extends a current study, Teachers as Writers (TAW) (2015-2017) involving the same partners. You will undertake research and administrative duties as part of the project, and working in partnership with the Exeter University Research Associate, will coordinate and develop schools’ recruitment and liaison, visit schools to introduce the project, collect ethical consents, initial and later data and undertake analysis of these. You will have considerable experience as an educational researcher and have a relevant post-graduate qualification, preferably a PhD.

To be considered for interview, you should have appropriate experience as an independent researcher,  evidence of a current DBS check, have worked with non-academic partners, have excellent organization skills, expertise/interest in the teaching of writing and a commitment to understanding teacher’s personal and professional development. You will also preferably have a doctorate and the proven ability to write for academic and non-academic audiences.
