Detail information about job Research Fellow. Terms and conditions vacancy
The Jeanne Marchig International Centre for Animal Welfare Education (JMICAWE) wishes to appoint a Research Fellow to conduct a project to identify the animal welfare research priorities for the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a large team of animal welfare researchers and teachers (in JMICAWE [www.ed.ac.uk/vet/jeanne-marchig-centre] and with our collaborators in SRUC [www.sruc.ac.uk/info/120243/animal_behaviour_and_welfare]) on an influential project. JMICAWE is a unique centre within the R(D)SVS which works to improve animal welfare through veterinary education both in the UK and Internationally. You must hold or be about to complete a PhD and have experience of conducting Delphi analyses. We are particularly interested in recruiting you if you have proven knowledge and experience of either zoo, equine, wildlife, or companion animal industries. You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the project, contacting and managing experts in different fields, conducting the analyses, and contributing to the writing of reports and manuscripts from the work. You will also contribute to the educational activities of the Centre by developing online educational materials for international audiences.
The post is funded for 1 year and is available as soon as possible after 30th September 2017.
