About the role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will join a skilled, close knit team in our busy Auckland workshop, conducting diagnostics, rebuilds and repairs. You will be supporting our varied and valued customers on heavy diesel engines with a focus on industrial, automotive and marine platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Put safety first for every task, every day
- Fault find and repair our customers engines
- Electronic diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Complete required paperwork
- Participate in skills and product training
- Always be on the lookout for ways to do things better
- Mentor and develop others in your team, sharing skills and knowledge in a collaborative environment
About you
Key to your success in this role will be your excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously backed by your passion for all things mechanical and knowledge of diesel engines. You will also possess:
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications
- Relevant experience performing repairs, rebuilds and fault finding on heavy diesel engines
- Experience carrying out electronic diagnostics on different product types with minimal supervision
- A friendly approach to your work, developing good relationships with our customers and your team
- Be a natural at solving problems
