Downer New Zealand is proud to partner with the Tauranga City Council to provide water, wastewater and storm water services ensuring the sustainability of supply while public health needs are maintained to a high standard.
This role offers variety with no two days the same, fun and new challenges. Key duties include operating a hydro excavator for planned and reactive maintenance on water reticulation assets and assisting with water reticulation network maintenance tasks.
Reporting to the Water Team Leader you will be working as part of a dedicated maintenance crew to respond to service requests, afterhours call outs and jobs across the Tauranga region and a one in four on call roster while delivering the most efficient and quality driven service to our clients.
Qualifications
- Hydro vac trained essential and relevant mechanical or water trade experience an advantage
- Full New Zealand Class 1 drivers licence with class 2 an advantage
We are looking for candidates with an adaptable and flexible work approach with a strong customer service focus and a 100% commitment to Health and Safety. A willingness to be trained as a Water Serviceperson.
