I am currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk with a proven track record of success whilst managing Payroll duties. This role is responsible for ensuring day to day operational activities are delivered in the right way. Reporting to the Office manager, this role requires proven experience and well developed people skills. It will offer a wide degree of variety in the tasks you will undertake in an environment which will offer exposure to ongoing operational requirements.

Duties

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices.
  • Receive authorised invoices back for upload.
  • Arrange for weekly and monthly payment runs to suppliers.
  • Monitor invoices and copy those of a Fixed Asset nature.
  • Field payment queries and requests for information from suppliers.
  • Ensure bank account details of suppliers are correct.
  • Ensure remittance email addresses of suppliers are correct.
  • Ensure aged balances with suppliers are monitored and queried where necessary.
  • Month end general ledger reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • File GST return monthly
  • File FBT return annually

Payroll

  • Undertake the weekly payroll process for staff.
  • Process authorised employee reimbursement requests.
  • PAYE returns and other IRD returns
  • Attend to any requests relating to payrolls from IRD, Work and Income etc

Administration

  • Answer the phone and take messages on the odd occasion when required.
  • Where possible, document elements of the role & processes in a “how to document”.

Experience Desired

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivation
