Kaimai Valley Services, the works division of Matamata-Piako District Council, is looking for a reliable and motivated team player to join our Parks and Reserves team. This is a full time, permanent position.
This role is responsible for undertaking general horticultural duties such as pruning, planting, weeding and spraying. Additionally you may also be required to assist with facility cleaning and interments. To be successful for this role you will be hardworking, have a passion for gardening and an understanding of gardening methods, have a strong commitment to health & safety and be comfortable working in all weather conditions. A positive attitude and the ability to work unsupervised are also essential. Previous horticultural and plant identification experience, a Growsafe qualification and a HT licence are preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
This position requires you to have a full driver’s licence and pre-employment medical and drug testing will be undertaken.
