About the role
We are on the lookout for a groundsman to be responsible for maintaining the sportsfields for a North Shore school. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be tasked with working closely with clients and key stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes on the ground, managing and maintaining the highest standards of playing surfaces and their surroundings, to meet contract specifications. A mechanical aptitude in the use of mowers, tractors and turf related equipment and the ability to be flexible in your availability. You will also work closely with the wider Auckland team to provide support where necessary.
About you
This is a great opportunity for applicants who enjoy a daily hands-on approach to achieve deadlines and exceed client expectations. You will have a passion for sports turf, have turf background or a New Zealand Sports Turf Management qualification or equivalent and have previous experience in turf maintenance, including spraying operations, mowing or operating other machinery is desirable.
- You will have an interest and appreciation for sports
- Strong attention to detail with well-planned organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Desire to deliver outstanding customer service
- Have the ability to work within a team and autonomously
- Be flexible to work weekends, especially during the cricket season
- Hold a current driver's licence
- A current full Drivers Licence
