Due to our continual growth, Argus Fire Protection has the opportunity for you to join our team as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter working on challenging and exciting projects.
Argus Fire Protection is a well-known company with over 30 years' experience in the fire protection industry. The company covers all aspects including fire system design, installation and ongoing testing and maintenance of fire systems.
This role will incorporate the Administration and Management of Sprinkler/Alarm projects in the greater Wellington region. It will involve working alongside our existing team members and contractors to develop and grow the business unit further.
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- All aspects of H&S systems and hold a gold card Site Safe or ability to work towards one
- High-level experience & competency in Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Systems.
- Competency in all aspects of contracting within NZ.
- An excellent understanding of the relevant NZ Standards and NZ Building Code.
- Unquestionable communication skills.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Excellent record keeping and report compilation skills.
- High level of personal hygiene.
- Ability to multi task, schedule work and prioritise work load.
Other responsibilities within this role will include:
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Representing the company with Architects, Engineers and Consultants.
- Management of cost-effective purchasing of labour and materials.
- Achieving further sales of the company's products and services.
- Monitoring of jobs to meet agreed completion dates and budgets
- Provision of technical information, advice and assistance
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the ability to be cool under pressure and able to negotiate between different stakeholders and will have a strong track record in organising resources efficiently and effectively in a cost-effective manner.
Success in this role is achieved by demonstrating accomplishments and having a proactive approach for positive outcomes but most of all to be part of the team.
