We produce an extensive range of beautifully crafted pull and lever handles, locks, accessories as well as specialist door machining equipment to assist in the installation of our products.

As our business is producing highly specialised rather than high volume products, a typical day can be widely varied; in this dynamic environment resilience and adaptability will be needed to deal with constant change.

We are experiencing a period of sustained growth and need the services of a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our Machine Shop team.  While this growth brings its own challenges, it also offers the opportunity to participate in an exciting phase in the business that supports the establishment of new processes and ways of working.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist capable of programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine, to produce components that meet the high-quality requirements of our clientele.  The accurate and timely maintenance of drawings and other product information will be an integral part of the role therefore the successful applicant must feel comfortable taking ownership of the machining process and solving, at times, complex product requirements.

We won't kid you though, there will be a steep learning curve to understand our range and while training about our products will be provided personal initiative will be a key requirement as will your solid experience and problem-solving ability.

Our ideal candidate will have had:

  • Five plus years of machining experience preferably with Centroid controllers on CNCs;
  • Mill turn programming setting and operating experience using Fanuc controllers on Doosan Mill Turns;
  • A positive can-do attitude;
  • Open communication skills;
  • The willingness to participate in change;
  • A passion for sharing your skills with others;
  • Self-motivation; and
  • The flexibility to work overtime when required.

In return, we offer you:

  • Competitive remuneration in line with your experience and personal skill set;
  • A dynamic pace of work;
  • Interesting and challenging work;
  • The opportunity to grow your knowledge in engineering and design.

Our standard workshop hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday so there is some opportunity to negotiate start and finish times to suit your travel needs.

If this role sounds right for you, please submit your CV together with a covering letter to start the application process.

Only applicants who have the entitlement to work in New Zealand need apply.
