Our Corporate Solutions team provides a wide range of property services to clients who occupy commercial property. We work in partnership with our clients to ensure that their property portfolio dovetails with their wider business model.

This Auckland CBD based role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in the Commercial Property sector. You will work within a team of professionals that will guide and mentor you as you develop a career in this growing sector.

Due to the diversity of the role, previous facilities management experience, or a property degree, while helpful, are not compulsory. The role would suit a person starting out in their career, or looking for a change from their current role and keen to move into a fast paced and dynamic role where no two days are the same.

The main attributes are:

  • Good communication skills – In particular the ability to keep all stakeholders up to date on matters at hand, as well as communicate effectively with suppliers/contractors.
  • A “can do” attitude – Our clients throw a lot of curve balls at us where the solution is not immediately apparent. A successful candidate will pick these up and find a solution.
  • Logical/Reasoning Skills – The varied nature of the role, means facilities management is a problem solvers dream. You will be able to rely on the wider team to assist with this as your experience grows.
  • Ability to multi-task – The role would suit someone who enjoys managing many tasks at once, so organisation and prioritisation skills are important
  • IT skills – Must be proficient at word/excel as a minimum.
  • A keenness to learn – Much of the role will be new to the candidate, however we are happy to invest significant time and training into an individual who is willing to learn

Tasks will vary day to day, however key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing suppliers/contractors while they complete works
  • Communicating job progress with clients
  • Managing asset replacement projects
  • Annual budgeting of expenses
  • Review and approval of expenses
  • Monthly reporting on FM activities
