ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking to identify an outstanding Associate with at least 4 years’ post-admission experience to join the Content Development team in Auckland.

This role is part-time. Our client offers exceptional flexibility and how you structure your hours is open for negotiation.

As a key member of the team, you will combine your legal analysis expertise and writing skills to effectively prepare, review, and update plain English content for our client’s ComplyWith program.  You will learn their content development process so that you hit the ground running in this role.

You will also prepare information about law changes for their ComplyWatch tool.  ComplyWatch presents all the information about each stage in a law change process in one place. This allows ComplyWith’s clients to access brief descriptions about developments, key dates, deadlines, and contacts, plain English summaries, and relevant documents.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the running and development of ComplyWith’s business.  This may include contributing to their software development road-map, contributing to sales and marketing initiatives, and being involved in their strategy development.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • An LLB with a strong academic record (essential) or an LLB (Hons) (preferred) - you will need to have a sharp intellect to understand the law well enough to explain it;
  • 4+ years of post-admission experience;
  • An enthusiastic writer with strong writing skills;
  • Experience across a breadth of legal areas;
  • Excellent technical legal analysis skills and experience;
  • The brainpower to understand the law, translate it into plain English, and then write it succinctly; and
  • A values-driven personality - you will need to demonstrate and maintain integrity and trust.
Do you have a passion for making the law accessible? Do you love to contribute to getting stuff done, embrace challenges, and love learning new ways of doing things better? If so, then this role is for you!
