We are a busy franchise cafe, located in a shopping mall, serving lots of regular and friendly customers.
You will be working under a great management and with some friendly team members.
You will be provided a full training by our great experience manager. Also you will be provide lots of recipes to follow.
About the role
We are looking for a talented, organized and hard working baker assistant and kitchen hand.
In this role you are required to prepare a variety of baked foods including muffins, scones and some cabinet foods like sandwiches, cookies, slices, quiches in the kitchen.
You may need to start from an early morning and to work on one weekend day at least.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow existing recipes
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients
- Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment.
- Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards.
- Clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils, and tools.
- Monitor items during baking.
- Decorate, glaze, apply icing, and prepare toppings for baked goods.
- Evaluate ingredients and food for quality.
- Operate slicing, cutting, and wrapping equipment.
- Order and receive supplies and materials.
- Sometimes you may needs to jump on the front to serve our friendly customers or do some dishes.

- Baking and customer service experience is preferred.
- Legally able to work in New Zealand.
