The Opportunity
A fantastic ‘Greenfield’ opportunity for an experienced and Commercial Financial Manager or Commercial Manager to build a robust Finance and Commercial function to better support both the Managing Director and wider group in growing this unique but well established agri-business .
The business is commercially and operationally well positioned for the successful candidate improve business performance and put in place a commercial strategy that will not only grow the business in its market but improve the return on the bottom line .
The Business
Based in the Heart of Gisbone, COXCO are a multi-disciplined Agri business across farming , transport , labour hire , with a key foothold in the export squash market. Now part of the Craigmore Sustainable Group (www.craigmore.com ), COXCO (http://www.coxco.co.nz/) is well placed both horizontally and vertically with the corer of the local agri-market. The business is mature enough boasting solid historic revenues streams but agile enough to adapt to needs of both the Agri sector and the general export market .
The Role
The Commercial Finance Manager is primarily responsible for the overall strategic development and management of the financial reporting, accounting and administration support activities to ensure the integrity of the financial and reporting functions within Coxco. And to provide accurate commercial and financial information to the Senior Management team, Coxco Board and shareholders and Christchurch Head Office.
- Administration Team Management & Leadership
- Management & Financial Reporting
- Performance Monitoring, Budgeting, Forecasting
- Facilitating the delivery Annual Statutory Reporting & Audit in-conjunction with group
- Tax Compliance, Treasury and Cash Management
- Insurance and Risk Management
- Business Systems and Financial Policies - working closely with the wider group
- Capital projects & Valuations
- Company secretarial & statutory duties
Your Profile
- Demonstrable commercial leadership
- CA qualified or equivalent
- A proven track record in driving business performance
- A natural flair for business management and commercial strategy
- Happy with a 2-3 year term in Gisborne
