The Sous Chef reporting directly to the Head Chef will bring creative flair and ideas, be enthusiastic and have the ability to work in a team environment.
Key duties and expectations in the following areas:
- Contribution to creative menu design and recipes
- Food costing
- Food preparation and presentation meets agreed standards
- Ability to multi task across all food areas on the hotel e.g. restaurant dining, in room dining, amentities etc
- Team development, training and co-ordination
- Cost control
- Implementation and development of food safety programs
- Involvement in stock procurement, control and stock take
- Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times
- Ability to work under pressure
- Available to work roster shifts including weekends and public holidays
- The right to work in New Zealand
