We are looking for a multi-talented experienced Pastry Chef to join the amazing team at the Hermitage Hotel based at Aoraki Mt Cook. Someone whom can confidently produce fine a la carte desserts, to homemade farm-style café scones, to individually portioned buffet delicacies, and everything in between.
Our guest experience is paramount, so excellent presentation and communication skills are essential for this role.
You will be responsible for driving and developing a team of 4 full time pastry, as well as training apprentices. You will have a strong background and knowledge in all things pastry and baking, as well as proven experience with managing staff, production requirements, as well as recipe and menu development.
As part of the senior kitchen team, you will work closely with the Executive chef and other senior chefs to ensure the brigade of 46 staff working over 3 kitchens run efficiently and effectively.
Previous experience in a multi-site hotel would be beneficial, but if your CV screams excellence and talent in all aspects of pastry and baking, then don’t delay.
