Do you love getting stuck in to a spot of cleaning? Have supreme attention to detail? This is not your ordinary housekeeping role!
We require a housekeeper with a strong hospitality background, a passion for people and someone that can achieve a high standard of presentation and cleanliness of our facilities in a very quick turnaround.
After an initial training period your typical shift would be 4 days on followed by 3 days off. During a 'typical' day, your work would include a commute across Lake Manapouri, followed by travel across the Wilmot Pass with a breath-taking backdrop to boot.
You will work closely to assist the Fiordland Navigator Crew whilst the vessel is alongside at Deep Cove. This is a full time, fixed term appointment starting mid August, 2018 and finishing 19 May, 2019.
As a part of the support team you will be servicing and cleaning all passenger areas onboard vessels. On occasion you may also assist in the galley or kitchen with meal service.
You will be someone who takes pride in their work and gets great satisfaction out of leaving surfaces sparkling! You'll be involved in the loading and unloading of supplies, so it'll be important that you are physically fit.
Most importantly you'll be a strong team player who enjoys getting in and doing what's required to ensure our staff working remotely have the support they need to delivery remarkable experiences. Flexibility is key as you may be requested to stay on board and assist the team overnight on occasion.
If you don't mind using the odd bit of elbow grease, would love a commute without being stuck in traffic and you are excited by massive wilderness areas rich in both flora and fauna then being a part of this team is for you.
