Ultimate Hikes provides visitors from all over the world with a unique insight into the magic of New Zealand's wilderness by offering multi-day guided walks on the world renowned Milford, Routeburn & Greenstone Tracks.
We have full time positions starting late October until the end of the walking season on 22 April 2019.
You will relish meeting new people every day and be ready to get stuck in and work alongside your team to make the guided walk experience an extraordinary adventure for our walkers and staff.
You will be working in a team of up 14 staff providing a welcoming lodge and a high standard of service to our groups of up to 50 guided walkers each night.
Working in our remote Lodges you will be able to show your great interpersonal skills while working with a small team with very little access to internet and no cell phones or texting.
The Management is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the remote lodge complex, providing leadership to staff, maintaining lodge facilities and providing a level of hospitality which meets the companies expectations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide a welcoming lodge environment for our guests with high standards of service, meals and housekeeping
- The smooth operation of the Lodge, its facilities, infrastructure, services and functions
- Manage all staff reporting to the position to effectively assist, train, develop and motivate
- Maintain a safe, harmonious and enjoyable workplace and environment for staff
- To lead by example
You will be able to show previous experience in your application. Previous positions in a remote environment and working autonomously would be an advantage.
