Kia ora! Want to work for Ngāi Tahu Tourism, one of the largest tourism operators in Aotearoa?

We're on the hunt for Hiking Guides who can join our team and provide a safe, informative and entertaining guiding services on our guided walking experiences over the upcoming summer. To be successful in this role you will require the natural ability to entertain along with a keen interest in Fiordland's natural history, flora and fauna.

Guided Walks New Zealand offers a variety of guided walks into the spectacular, inspirational scenery of Queenstown and Fiordland, from half day to full day adventures - as well as the popular three-day/two-night Hollyford Track guided walk and NZ Snowshoe.

We take great pride in warmly welcoming manuhiri (visitors) to our experiences. Manaakitanga (hospitality) is one of the core values that drives the way we do business. As hosts, we care for our customers and our team as our own whānau.

We offer not only a unique experience for visitors, but also an awesome place to work.

We have a number of fixed term positions available based in Queenstown or Te Anau.

A little bit about you

We're after someone who can:

  • provide safe, informative and entertaining guiding services to our guests
  • can dazzle our customers
  • blow us away with their knowledge of NZ flora, flora culture and history
  • is physically able and has previous experience tramping in New Zealand
  • play nicely in a team
  • keep cool under pressure
  • work shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays
  • is open to learning about Ngāi Tahu culture and stories

Anything could happen in a day - and we need someone who isn't afraid of a long and varied to-do list!
