Chef- Permanent Part Time - Woodlands (Motueka)

Our XXX facility in XXX is seeking a part time Chef to be part of our fun and supportive team.

Working in a team environment, your role is to support the provisions of foodservice operations under the direction of the Executive Chef or Business and Care Manager. Your responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Working with the Clinical Manager and registered nurses to provide nutritional care for residents;
• Ensuring all meals are presented attractively and served in a timely manner where the food is at the right temperature;
• Complying with all food safety requirements;
• Actively seeking feedbacks from residents and initiates with quality improvements;
• Maintaining a clean, tidy , safe and hazard free environment;
• Maintaining high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.

You will be someone who is passionate about cooking and serving meals at a high standard. Kindness and caring of what the needs are of the residents comes naturally to you. You will be a team player, with a positive 'can do attitude' who is always ready to go the extra mile.

Key Requirements

• Must have previous experience in the same role; or
• Has completed a culinary apprenticeship;
• Eligibility to work in NZ;
• Effective customer and people relationship skills;
• Holds safe food hygiene handling certificates Safe Food NZQA 167, 168;
• Maintaining resident confidentiality and respect their dignity;
• Takes ownership and accountability;
• Has good time management and leadership skills;
• Passionate, committed and a good team player.
