About the Role

  • Ensure all guests expectations are exceeded and actively encourage and collate guest feedback to ensure service benchmarks are being achieved.
  • Be responsible for the day to day leadership and supervision of team members working in the department.
  • Be responsible for the opening and closing duties and ensure correct cashiering procedures are followed in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Coordinate and allocate duties for all service periods and ensure outlet is set up as per departmental guidelines.
  • Ensure all team members have a sound knowledge of all menu and wine items available, and have the ability to offer suggestions, recommendations and where possible up-sell food and beverage items.
  • Ensure guest complaints are resolved in a prompt and efficient manner and escalated as required.
  • Ensure service stations are maintained with adequate supplies to service forecasted patronage;
  • Ensure a high quality F&B product is consistently being produced, adhering to correct food safety standards.
  • Assist with management of Micros or POS system to update items, prices, logins and system maintenance.

In order to hit the ground running you will have:

  • Prior experience in staging awesome food & beverage experiences in a bar, restaurant or hotel setting
  • An ability to thrive under pressure and work as a team in a high paced environment
  • A great sense of style and immaculate presentation and grooming
  • You’re an engaging and outgoing team player who gets a kick out of delivering exceptional service and thrives on leading a high performing team.
  • You love food & drink and take a keen interest in the latest trends, the hottest new venues and stay across ever-evolving guest expectations
  • You’re passionate about staging great bar & dining experiences for guests and have the ability to create a connection with people from all walks of life
  • Licence Controller's Qualification (LCQ) Certificate
