Not just a hotel, The Hermitage offers guests a range of experiences, from dining options, accommodation types, and various activities to explore the Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. Working within our Front Office team, you will be the face of the hotel and the first contact our team have with our guests.
We have positions available at the Hermitage and Mt Cook Lodge
We welcome both local and international guests to experience this unique environment with us and our aim is to build a team that approaches each day with energy and enthusiasm. There is no such thing as a typical day and this provides an exciting challenge for anyone joining our team.
Your day will have a guest focus, ensuring each of guests is given our full attention.
You will be responsible for:
- Meeting guests and assisting them with their luggage
- Answering general inquiries
- Providing transport through our village shuttle service
- Assisting the reception team with check ins and check outs
- General hotel duties and assisting other departments where required
About you
Our teams live and work together so it's important that you have a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for the hospitality industry. You should be flexible with a can-do attitude and looking to learn throughout your time with us. Your ability to build rapport with our guests and share your knowledge and passion for the local surrounding area is the key to success.
You will need:
- To be physically fit
- A confident and safe driver, holding a full clean NZ Drivers licence or International equivalent
- Experience driving in all weather conditions would be an advantage
- A friendly and approachable manner
- Experience in Customer service to a high standard
- Ability to effectively communicate with guest and staff who have English as a second language
- Current First Aid
