Our client is an aged care facility which offers rest home, and hospital care and they are widely recognised for providing quality and compassionate care, with strong links to the community.
They are looking for a Unit Coordinator with proven leadership skills to join their team. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager you will be responsible for motivating and mentoring your team to provide the best clinical and professional care.
In this role you will:
- Provide strong clinical leadership
- Monitor staffing levels
- Assist with staff appraisals for caregivers
- Coordinate the development & review of care plans
- Manage resources including supplies and medical equipment
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement
- Support the Clinical Manager
You will have:
- NZ Nursing Registration and current APC
- Leadership experience managing a team of clinical staff
- 3+ years' experience in the aged care sector in New Zealand
- Understanding of aged care, dementia and the relevant codes of practice
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
