My client is a NZ business with operations around the globe. It’s a fast growing business with turnover circa $60M. The environment is fun, social, relaxed but hardworking. The Role
The role of Accountant has a real mix of responsibilities. You will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for
- Preparation of the monthly financial and management statements including variance analysis
- Assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of all tax returns and any other regulatory requirements
- Co-ordinate monthly stock take and month end procedures in relation to stock counts
- Prepare all information in relation to month end and year end reports, covering general ledger reconciliations, journals and accruals
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with foreign currency and hedging and ensure all relevant transactions are accounted for correctly.
- Assist in the process of weekly payroll requirements; HR own this process
- Lead and coach the Assistant Accountant around Accounts payable and receivable activities to ensure integrity of the sub-ledgers
- Maintain fixed assets
- Other project work
Your Profile
To be considered for this role we are looking for someone who is either working towards their qualifications or someone who may have just got qualified. This role could be your first role out of a CA practice even. You will need to have strong attention to detail, be able to meet deadlines, take ownership, enjoy multi-tasking whilst remaining outgoing and sociable so that you can partner the business.
