As a Medacs Agency Staff member you will accept shifts in your speciality at a variety of clients to cover gaps in the roster, sick leave, annual leave or maternity leave. You will be orientated to the ward/ unit and be an integral team member whilst you are there. You will take your own patient load and deliver nursing care to your assigned patients. As part of the team you will also assist your team members to ensure the ward/ unit functions smoothly, by going above and beyond to support where possible.

Often after working with Medacs, our best nurses are asked back to work other shifts and become a regular agency team members for a particular ward/ unit - could this be you?

Skills & Experience

  • At least 12-months NZ Medical Nursing Experience (or comparative Healthcare Systems) or 6-months NZ experience post CAP course completion
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
  • Current CPR, Basic Life Support or First Aid Certification
  • Ability to obtain verbal references from two senior referees whom you have worked with in the last 2 years
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ with appropriate immigration visa
