Be a NZ trained and registered comprehensive nurse with a current AP and first aid certificate.
Be able to take clinical charge of the rest home, making appropriate clinical decisions in conjunction with other health professionals.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and ensure documentation is accurately completed and implemented.
Support care staff and provide supervision where necessary including coaching of care staff, and at all times meeting MOH standards.
Demonstrate good people skills, particularly when dealing with residents and relatives, of whom many have diverse cultural backgrounds.
Must have the ability to take a leading role promoting a safe working environment.
Successful applicant must meet NZNC competencies and continue ongoing education
New Zealand residency or valid NZ work visa is compulsory for this position
