As one of the largest integrated health providers in New Zealand, my client have a reputation for providing excellent multidisciplinary injury management, vocational, community and musculoskeletal rehabilitation services. They have clinics across the country and hold contracts with ACC, third party insurers, DHB’s, The Ministry of Health, private businesses and leading New Zealand organisations.
About the role
This is a community based physiotherapy role covering the Manawatu and Whanganui. Whilst you’ll be required to work autonomously, you still have the benefit of being part of a fun multi-disciplinary team back at home base in Palmerston North. You’ll also receive great support from the community services network down the road in Wellington for you to skype and meet with regularly.
Duties
A mix of private and ACC referral work, you’ll be working in clients homes and aged residential care facilities completing needs assessments and providing treatment and rehabilitation for a broad range of conditions and injuries - neurological, musculoskeletal and (if you are more than 2 years post grad) paediatrics. You’ll also be responsible for manual handling training for staff in aged care facilities.
Skills and experience
To win this role you’ll be confident, independent, organised, self-motivated, flexible and have exceptional communication skills. You’ll be passionate about working in the community, have a broad range of rehabilitation experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development. You’ll hold NZ Physiotherapy Board registration, a current Annual Practicing Certificate and a current drivers licence.
