1.0 FTE (80 hours per fortnight) Fixed Term Contract - 6 - 9 months
 
We are seeking to appoint a Fixed Term General Radiologist to work up to 40 hours per week. 
 
The position will be based in the Bay of Plenty at either Tauranga or Whakatane Hospitals. BOPDHB serves a population base of 214,000.
 
The Tauranga Radiology Department comprises of 4 general rooms (includes 1 room in the Emergency Department), 2 Canon CT scanners, four colour doppler ultrasound machines, a Siemens fluoroscopy suite. A private MRI facility is operational on-site.
 
The Whakatane Radiology Department comprises of 2 general rooms, a Toshiba Prime CT scanner and two colour doppler ultrasound machines.
 
The appointee would join a medical staff of 18 other Radiologists and 6 Registrars. The radiology services workload comprises of general radiology, ultrasound, MDCT, angiography and a range of interventional procedures. An on call component allows us to offer a 24 hour acute service.
 
Applicants must be eligible for registration as a Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
