We are seeking a registered Anaesthetic Technician to join our Theatre team on a casual basis. This will involve covering staff leave and sickness; however, some forward planning and scheduling will be available to cover planned leave.
Nelson Hospital Theatre Suite consists of six Operating Theatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services Department and Endoscopy Suite, and delivers on average 43 sessions requiring a General Anaesthetic a week.

To be considered for this position you must be registered with, and have an annual practising certificate (APC) issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ), or be eligible for the same.

In addition you must have:
- recent clinical experience with strong observational and crisis management skills
- good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- a commitment to patient-centred care and quality systems.
