About the role
Reporting directly to the Australian based National Sales Manager, you will be building your business from the ground up. Selling directly to cardiothoracic surgeons and specialists, your sales background within Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics or Gynaecology, will help you understand the market you are selling into. Working autonomously with continual support, you will be passionate to drive sales and generate market share growth.
Responsibilities
- Interact and develop strong relationships with a particular group of stakeholders in the DHB and private hospitals; these include surgeons, theatre managers, nursing staff as well as procurement.
- Accountable for selling a range of products to surgeons in a highly technical and clinical environment.
- Developing a sales pipeline on certain products where influence with theatre nurses who re-order is essential
- Maintaining forward schedule of appointments with key customers and potential leads, and building these relationships for long term supply
- Drawing upon flawless knowledge of your product portfolio and the underlying clinical needs of the surgeons who will be using them.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Proven track record of strong theatre sales success within medical devices, ideally across ENT, Urology, Orthopaedics or Gynaecology
- The ability to form strong relationships with clinical professionals, effectively converse and articulate the areas relevant to the products.
- Able to strategically manage a territory – business planning, identifying opportunities, converting sales and closing deals
- Results oriented – demonstrable sales success through knowing how to overcome objections, deal with challenging customers and solve potential issues

The Reward
- Base salary $90,000 - $100,000 dependent on experience
- Bonus $30- 60k PA uncapped, paid monthly
- $17,000 car allowance + fuel card
- Tools of trade
- Extensive and ongoing product training
