Brackenridge is a not for profit organisation that provides supports to children, young people and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism and their families in Canterbury.  At the core of our practice philosophy is our belief in all people and the rights of all to live in and be part of the community, and to exercise citizenship.  We have over 300 staff in a variety of roles that provide support services for people with a disability, across a wide age range.

Our long serving, much valued Quality Manager is moving on and we are seeking a talented and experienced Practice Quality professional to replace her.  Reporting to the General Manager Service Delivery, this role is critical to our continuing improvement journey and also in the context of the transformation of the disability support system currently underway.

A key aspect of the role will be to lead the development and delivery of person centred, outcomes focussed, high quality evidence informed practice that supports people with being, belonging & becoming,  living the life they choose. Responsibilities extend to the provision of specialist behavior support services, quality assurance services, and service development.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of leading improvement in outcomes focused practice quality,  achieving quality and development targets and the ability to engage positively with a broad range of people. The expertise required in managing audits, reporting and critical incident reporting; external audits and our response to findings of investigations is essential.  Leadership experience and an understanding of the needs of the people we support, flexibility and openness to think innovatively and act quickly and with a strong customer focus is highly desirable.  This position would best suit someone that shares our passion with a social service related qualification.
