What's the role about?
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Community Health team for enthusiastic support workers to make a real difference in the lives of people and their whanau in and around Hamilton area.
We pride ourselves on helping people to achieve their independent goals - for us it's all about making a difference. As a Support Worker you will be working with a variety of individuals to enable them to participate in meaningful activities in the community, support with daily personal care and household tasks to help them achieve maximum independence.
We're looking for people with the following skills:
- Empathy for others, and the genuine desire to help people.
- Strong communication skills
- A positive attitude towards personal learning and development of new skills
- Ability to adapt to various situations while still providing excellent support
- Previous spinal cord injury experience is preferred.
- Confident and experienced driver with ability to drive a large van is required
Working for us:
As a company we are committed to our employees. Depending on your current level of qualification, you would be offered a starting rate of $19.80 per hour, with the opportunity to progress once you have completed our fully funded NZQA training and qualification.
