We're looking for a Surgical Administrator for the Police Health Plan.
The purpose of this position is to implement and process all requests for surgery within the guidelines of the Police Health Plan. The primary responsibility is to ensure all surgical requests are processed within agreed service standards.
Secondary responsibilities include ensuring that the Police Health Plan working environment is maintained in an appropriate business-like manner, that any inward correspondence is responded to within six working days. The position holder will need to answer all calls in an efficient manner and provide professional, friendly service to both our members and internal clients via the phone.
The role involves assessment and entry of surgical claims, assisting with benefit reviews and marketing of Police Health Plan. As required, the position holder will liaise with the Medical Referee and other consultants for specialist medical/surgical advice
Surgical knowledge would be advantageous.
