Clinical Nurse Manager

$100k + per annum
My client is a retirement services provider who has a number of services across New Zealand ranging from Rest home / Hospital & Retirement/Independent living and are enjoying great success as market leaders, making this a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager who is interested in progression and development in their career.
About the Facility
This is a luxurious, modern and bright facility which has been designed and furnished to impeccable standards. It has over 100 beds and caters for rest home, hospital and dementia service levels of care.
There is a Clinical Coordinator on each unit who each reports to this role so there is plenty of support available for you.
It enjoys a good reputation in the area and is overseen by a very supportive and dynamic Manager I have worked with for some time now, who has helped many new recruits to develop within their career.
What will I be doing as the new Clinical Nurse Manager?
In summary, you would be responsible for:
- providing a high level of clinical leadership and support to 4 Clinical coordinators and the Rns & care team
- assisting and supporting the manager
- ensuring the staffing levels are appropriate at all times,
- be actively involved in the quality management programme,
- identifying opportunities for quality activities and improvement
- monitoring the provision of clinical care to residents to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained
- establish and maintain relationships with health professionals, residents and their families
- be actively involved in aspects of human resource management
- assisting with orientation programmes
- performance appraisals and staff training and commitment to the provision of a safe environment for residents and staff.
What will I need to apply for this Clinical Nurse Manager opportunity?
- NZ registered nurse, with at least 3 years experience in aged care Clinical management
- A current APC
- Interrai trained
- An experienced people manager with the ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
- Able to demonstrate business and financial management skills/acumen.
- Knowledge of the aged care industry and the provision of retirement and residential care services.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- An energetic, dynamic leadership style
- Good computer skills
