Projects focus
18 month fixed term contract
This is an opportunity for a capable finance and accounting expert to really make a mark in this vibrant region. Napier City Council is in the midst of an exciting period of positive change. Their plans for city enhancement are evident in their long-term plan, and there are some major projects on the horizon. This role will see you playing a key part in analysing and informing key managers around the project spends of some significant plans.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to provide advice and insight into business cases and special projects. You will be ensuring effective analysis and reporting to key decision makers. There is a real range of significant infrastructure, community facilities and city enhancement work programmes on the near horizon.
Strong experience in financial modelling, cost and project accounting will bode well for you here. You will need to hit the ground running and immediately have the ability to provide meaningful information to a variety of key stakeholders. Great excel efficiency, and a working knowledge of modern software packages will enable you to develop core modelling tools, conduct scenario testing, and analyse results and plan accordingly. You must enjoy working with the detail as much as you do with the big picture. Ideally you will be a tertiary qualified accountant.
