Our Department
The School of Physiotherapy strives to provide excellence in physiotherapy teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our focus is primarily on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages. Research and knowledge transfer are key elements of the School's activities managed through our dedicated Centre for Health, Activity, and Rehabilitation Research or CHARR.
The Role
In this Professional Practice role you will support teaching, clinical skills demonstrating, and clinical supervision primarily at undergraduate level, across a broad spectrum of physiotherapy practice.
The position includes preparation, assessment, and teaching, as well as paper administration duties, under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery.
Prime Function:
- Support teaching across a range of papers or in clinical settings, to post-graduate level, in the professional area of specialisation.
- Carry out administration responsibilities.
- Contribute to the School's academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in a professional discipline.
Person Specification
- Teaching or clinical supervision experience.
- Clinical experience across a broad spectrum of physiotherapy practice.
- Excellent administration and communication skills.
- A relevant Master's degree is desirable.
- Evidence of an ability to work well with students and staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds and at all levels of the institution.
- A commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and to equal opportunity.
