Due to an internal secondment, the Academic Programmes Office is seeking a full-time Publishing Systems Coordinator with strong print publishing and web management skills to coordinate and deliver a range of publishing activities for the University of Auckland.

The University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading University and employs over 5,000 staff who support over 41,000 students. Academic Services provides leadership and excellence in academic administration services to internal and external stakeholders. The Publishing Systems Coordinator delivers print and digital publishing activities to ensure excellence in content production.

The key responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Planning and managing the production/ distribution of the University Calendar (print and online), and overseeing the proofing and editing of Calendar content
  • Designing, coordinating and maintaining information on the staff intranet, SharePoint and sections of the university website
  • Demonstrating flexibility by assisting with a range of other activities within the Academic Programmes Office in order to meet operational needs

To be successful in this position, you will need excellent technical skills, including proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and experience in the web environment. In addition, you will need demonstrated interpersonal skills that enable you to liaise and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and suppliers, and an organised and systematic approach to work.

We are looking for applicants with the following:

  • Previous experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop)
  • Extensive experience in graphic design, print publishing applications, and web content management systems
  • The ability to learn new systems quickly
