  • Hardware or Software Engineering - we're not fussy
  • But we do want the best of the best - is this you?
  • Be part of a dynamic and growing iconic NZ business with a global footprint

Fisher & Paykel's heritage dates to the 1930's. The pioneering spirit established by our founders encouraged a culture that challenged conventional appliance design and production systems.

Our Technologies division designs and manufactures BLDC / PMSM motors for appliance and other applications. We were the first appliance manufacturer in the world to produce a washing machine with an electronically controlled direct drive motor.

Since the 1980's we have invested in research and development and we will continue doing this. With a culture of innovation, where being nimble and agile are important. This culture helps to drive our technology and ensuring we are offering our customers inventive solutions that make a difference for their products.

To support our growth, we will have opportunities during 2018 and the beginning of 2019 in our Auckland offices.

About the role
We're looking for inquisitive graduates who are passionate about electronic engineering (hardware / software for electronic controls) and enjoy the autonomy to learn by researching and applying their practical hands-on skills to test out a range of technical solutions that can be seen in our future product designs.

You'll be a great communicator with excellent problem solving skills and an ability to contribute positively in a team environment.

What we require
As this is a graduate role, you will be in your final year of study towards a relevant Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronic, Software or Mechatronics) or will have graduated within the last 2 years.

As part of your application, please ensure that you attach a covering letter, CV and a copy of your academic transcript. We are particularly interested in understanding what University papers you are studying and have completed, previous work experiences you have had along with your hobbies and interests.

Our culture is one in which our engineers can constantly develop, working alongside a team of talented and skilled engineers. At Fisher & Paykel you will have opportunities for technical growth and leadership within a global organisation.

What we offer
A collaborative team based culture, a challenging and supportive work environment, career development and an opportunity to work with leading technology. Also on offer is a competitive salary, superannuation scheme, student loan quick pay scheme, free car parking and much more!

If you would like to be part of our team developing the world's next generation of appliances and technology, then apply now uploading your CV and unofficial transcript.
