Reporting to the Engineering Manager this role will involve the optimisation of site processes including troubleshooting, developing our processes and associated control systems, monitoring and evaluating their performance, and investigating opportunities to optimise process efficiencies and operating costs. Work will also involve developing new control philosophies as well as troubleshooting hardware and software faults in our PLC, DCS and HMI systems, developing and configuring control systems as well as supporting the installation of new hardware and software solutions.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Provide the site with Specialist Process and technical advice
- Provide the site with Process Control and Systems technical advice
- Manage and deliver assigned process improvement projects and initiatives to achieve business goals
- Maintain strong internal and external networks to support business needs
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- A relevant Engineering degree /tertiary qualification is essential
- Self motivated and independent approach to work
- Enjoys hands-on process troubleshooting, process control and control system support, design and development
- Relevant experience in a process related industry
- High level of technical competency, project management and communication skills
- Have a working knowledge of good manufacturing practice, management of change processes, health and safety and quality awareness
Ideally, the successful candidate will have ideally at least five years engineering experience working in a manufacturing or heavy process environment. In addition, professionalism, a capacity to build and maintain strong working relationships, and a commitment to delivering excellent results are the key personal attributes we are looking for.
