My client, Alaron Products Limited, is New Zealand’s leading GMP Certified manufacturer and packer of complementary medicines and natural health products. Based in Bolt Road in Nelson, the business is looking to appoint the following key role:
SITE MAINTENANCE MANAGER
- Oversee Site Maintenance and Engineering Projects
- Hands on Management Opportunity
Alaron Products is looking for an experienced person to lead the installation, general maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment within its manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is vital in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance, minimising production down time, overseeing engineering projects and ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition.
You will possess the following skills and attributes:
- experience in managing/supervising a small team in a mechanical engineering or maintenance environment
- strong mechanical background within maintenance and diagnostics
- excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
- can demonstrate leadership toward safety in the workplace
- the ability to organise, plan and schedule work on the basis of priority
- a reasonable level of computer literacy
- project management experience would be advantageous.
The role will suit an experienced Site Maintenance Manager, or someone who has the potential to step up into this role. A background overseeing preventative maintenance and engineering improvement within a manufacturing environment would be preferred.
