The Role
Based in our well regarded Building Structures team, this is an exceptional opportunity for an established structural engineer with strong NZ market experience, to join a multi-disciplinary global engineering consultancy.
As an Associate Director, you will focus on leading the delivery of our high quality, bespoke projects which require oversight of project teams and ownership of client relationships. You will collaborate with a number of internal and external clients and will be involved in key stakeholder engagement processes, contributing to the growth of our business.
You will be a dynamic and highly driven individual who is excited about working in a high performing team who are passionate about what they do and enjoy delivering successful outcomes to our clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of building structures projects including management of delivery teams.
- Driving technical development and keeping up to date with new technologies and international trends.
- Providing technical and project leadership to staff.
- Mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers.
- Fostering client relationships.
- Leading input into tenders and bids.
- Business development.
About You
Along with sharing our passion for technical excellence, you must be a NZ Chartered Engineer (or close to obtaining) and be able to demonstrate credibility in the NZ building structures market.
In addition you will have:
- Sound knowledge of the NZ Building Market
- 15+ years' structural engineering design experience
- Experience working in an engineering design consultancy
- Knowledge of NZ Building Code and Standards
- Strong people management capability
- Proven record of client relationship building and maintenance
