The opportunity
This is your chance to work on a major project during the site construction phase on a large state highway one capital project. You’ll work closely with our team of industry experts including geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists. The site work will be full on for 6 months at least and during that time you may be required to work 6 days a week.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Provide technical leadership
- Conduct and manage field data acquisition, site investigations and testing
- Develop ground models and provide input into specifications and drawings to ensure that geotechnical designs provide appropriate solutions.
- Provide engineering geological expertise to meet project needs.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff on the project.
We're looking for competent engineering geologists, with 10+ years’ experience, preferably IPENZ PEngGeol accredited or approaching that level, ideally gained by working in New Zealand. Previous experience in Australia or Asia Pacific would be useful. You'll have a strong background in engineering geology and being familiar with industry standard design software including logging software (gINT/Holebase), and numerical slope modelling (Slope W) would be a benefit. You'll also need a track record of managing client relationships and winning work.
