NZ Chartered Geotechnical Engineer

So here's the deal ...  the Rotorua landscape must be the epitomy of a Geotechnical Engineer's dream, we doubt many would argue the point.  Add to that the opportunity to work from superbly appointed offices in the CBD and quite possibly one of the North Island's best locations for boating, biking, a stone's throw from the Bay of Plenty coastline and 2 hours from the ski fields.  Does it get much better?

Cheal is a multi-disciplinary organisation with 6 offices across the Central North Island offering Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying and Planning.  We need a Chartered Geotechnical Engineer to join our Rotorua team.  This position is suited to someone who is able to work autonomously as a Lead Engineer in our Rotorua office, whilst playing a key role in a wider Geotech team across several Cheal offices.

If you can display the following skills, we would love to hear from you:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil-Geotechnical or Engineering Geology
• CPEng with a current practising certificate issued by Engineering NZ
• A keen sense of humour and a strong team player
• Proven experience in job procurement and pricing
• Exceptional client management skills
• A drive to grow and develop people and business
• Excellent written communication skills
