Weta Workshop is looking for a stellar Senior Accountant to join its band of nimble number-crunchers.
Reporting to our Finance Manager, you'll slide centre-stage into a key role within our busy Corporate Services team. Financial Statement preparation? Tax compliance? Cashflow Management? Aptitude for IT? Process Improvement? It's all music to your ears, because you're a certified Decimal Dynamo; a star performer whose aptitude is matched by superb communication skills, a positive attitude, and the desire to share your work environment with an endless supply of cool stuff.
No stranger to the world of finance, you'll be CA qualified with 3-5 years' post qualifying experience under your perfectly balanced belt.
What you'll do:
- Preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements
- Tax compliance
- IT related system maintenance, development and improvements
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- Internal controls and process improvement
- Ad-hoc project work
- Financial administration and support
We're looking for:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- CA qualification
- Good tax and company legislation knowledge
- Exposure to accounting in a manufacture environment - desirable but not essential
- Exposure to inventory cost accounting (raw materials, finished goods, wholesale, work in progress) - desirable but not essential
You'll also have:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workloads
- Ability to plan, schedule and review the work and performance of others in a manner conducive to proficient performance and high morale.
- Open and honest communication skills.
- Maturity and confidence to represent Weta Workshop and deal with vendors/clients/staff etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for all business matters.
- Ability to take responsibility/accountability for decisions made
