About the business
Our client; a recently acquired, global FMCG and retail company are enjoying a hugely exciting building phase, in the creation of their finance team. The business are currently on the look out for an enterprising Senior Accountant, capable of taking ownership of month end processes, financial reporting, Audit management and Tax obligations.
About the role
Reporting in to a Financial Controller, in a dynamic team of 6 you will be required to take ownership of the following:-
- Manage month-end/year-end close.
- Complete monthly reconciliations and analysis of Balance Sheet accounts
- Ad hoc reporting for project delivery, change initiatives and financial systems development.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and other ad hoc reports, within the Board reporting pack
- Analysis of monthly budget performance, periodical re-forecasts and project accounting.
- Participate in the ongoing development of accounting policies and procedures, including the review and implementation of process and systems improvements.
- Statutory reporting & compliance obligations (IFRS, GST, FBT,)
- Audit preparation & management
- Inventory accounting & analysis

Skills and experience
This role would suit someone who is newly qualified CA/CPA accountant, looking for their first move in to commerce.
Big 4/ Top Tier Auditing or BAS experience would also be highly desirable.
You will posses the following:-
- Superb time management and organisational ability.
- Strong analytical ability
- Ability to multi-task effectively, think critically and take initiative
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills capable of building relationships cross functionally.
