Challenging and varied role for a confident Civil Engineer - Mixture of site and office based work
This is a locally owned and operated multi-disciplinary Engineering consultancy. They are renowned leaders in Civil and Structural sectors, with a history spanning over 30 years in the local market. Due to continued growth within the business they are seeking a Civil Engineer to join the team.
This is not your typical Civil Engineering role. You will be required to spend about 60% of your time on site doing inspections and ensuring contractors are completing work accurately and to standard. The other 40% of your time will be spent in the office completing the design of subdivisions, roading and drainage, stormwater treatment and various other infrastructure projects.
To be successful in this role you must have and be:
- Qualified Civil Engineer with a minimum of 3 years work experience in New Zealand
- Confident person, able to build relationships with and easily handle sub-contractors and site workers
- Excellent English communication skills are essential
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time to work within tight deadlines
